Finding the right therapist for you

Hello!

I’m a Registered Clinical Counsellor (# 22544) with a Master’s in Counselling Psychology from the University of British Columbia. I have always had a passion for helping others and have years of experience working and volunteering in mental health services, including domestic violence organizations, eating disorders recovery, and assisted living. I continue to develop my skills and growth as a clinician by regularly participating in trainings, workshops, and consultations. Themes of recent training include trauma, shame, parts work, decolonizing therapeutic practice, and narcissistic/antagonistic abuse. I am currently working towards certification as an adult ADHD clinician.

Before becoming a counsellor, my curious and inquiring mind led to a B.A. (Honours) in History and Philosophy, an MSc. in Gender Studies, and a PhD in Gender and Sociology. In the UK, I had research career focused on gender, health and well-being, identity, equity, life transitions, and outdoor recreation. I have published widely on these topics in academic journals and books.
